Lake San Antonio

We decided to take a drive out to the lake to look at the scenery (we like scenic drives). It was really cold out, but really clear and gorgeous. B.Paul used to work there for a couple of years, so he "showed" us around. It was so relaxing out there, although I know its not that quiet in the summer, but for now its such a nice place just to spend an afternoon. I could not believe when we got home that we had been gone for over four hours! Little Paul was not to happy when we told him that he could not swim in the water because it was WAY to cold:) He does not like to be cold, so that changed his mind up real quick. I guess since we were driving in the car and we had the heater on and it was nice and sunny, he thought it was warm out or something, funny!
They have a really neat LITTLE museum out there that big Paul took little Paul through to see all of the animals and birds, he really liked that.
We had a nice relaxing day!
We have a picture like the this one of Big Paul on the same bench, so he wanted one of Little Paul

We saw so many deer, they are so cute!

This is what they saw in the museum:

Mountain Lion YIKES!

A bat, kind of cute:)

A Bob cat, MEOW:)

Movies!

We dont go to the movies much these days, its just too costly, so I would just rather wait until I could buy the movie (for the price for all us to go). But for Christmas we recieved a booklet with "movie bucks" (from our landlords)! We also recieved two free passes with $5 for treats (from our bank for opening a savings account, thanks to our friend), AND I joined the mailing list for our theatre online with both our email addresses so we got two free coupons for popcorn!

Last weekend Paul, the kids and I went with our "movie bucks" ($20) and one of our free popcorn coupons and only spent $6 ($1 more to cover what the "bucks" did not, and $5 for little Paul's' "kid box", which had his OWN popcorn/candy/drink). We saw the movie "Bedtime stories" with Adam Sandler (we like him), the movie was not the best in my opinion; it was really funny, but not a winner. I DON'T recommend it.

So today it was just Little Paul and I (we call it our little date:), Peachy watched Preston, and B.Paul was at home with a "honey-do list". We went with our two movie passes, coupon for free popcorn (for me) and his $5 coupon for him (he got the "kids box" again). We watched "Hotel for dogs", this was a REALLY good REALLY good:) movie! It was so cute/funny, we laughed SO hard (and I even cried a little too). I definitely recommend this movie, its has a great story, its silly and just cute!
I'm so happy that we got to go to the movies TWO times and came out paying almost NOTHING! How fun is that!?!

Home school is so much FUN!

Why would I want to send little Paul to school? Not even a chance! Its starts out when our kids are just babies, I don't want to miss out on ANY part of there childhood, that is why I don't SEND my kids to daycare, preschool OR school! We have days where it is a challenge to get in our flow of school work (with Preston wanting to have my attention), but it NEVER is a reason to send little Paul to school. Yes it is a challenge sometimes, but a good challenge, a REWARDING challenge! "I" am his teacher, "I" get to teach him and its SO MUCH FUN!
I am extremely protective of my children, I WONT say overprotective (there is NO such thing). I want AND will be there like a HAWK watching them and protecting them. Sometimes I think about what it would be like if my child was MORE socialized (in a regular school setting where I can't oversee what he is doing), AHH the horror! Its hard enough to have to deal with the attitudes of my own children, but to deal with "other" attitudes, bad mouths, and all that other "fun" stuff! So nice, NOT! NO I'm not a prude, just protective!

So this post was to share some fun photos of two of our days we had this week! Big Paul has been home this week from work, so he has "joined" our school as a "teachers Aide" LOL! He is a fun teacher though, little Paul is enjoying it (and so am I).
So many crabs to see!

What a day to be out, so gorgeous!

LOOK it squirts water!
Preston loves to throw rocks
Dad made a volcano today, see it in the sink!!??

MISSING!!!

Where have I been? What have I been doing that I could not stop and write about it? Just been so busy lately, a GOOD busy, a FUN busy:)
BUT I really NEED to start writing more, I don't want to forget the events in our life....
So Christmas has passed, New years, my birthday and no blogs about it *sigh*, where to start?!
So soon I will start blogging again!!!
I have received lots of nice "blog awards", but I have not posted about them, and I'm not sure if I will have the time to post about each one, but I am happy I got them:) Its fun!
Thanks!
