This is a letter I received from the Paso Robles library;

Dear Lechuga Family,
A donation was made earlier this year to the Children's Library in your family's name to honor Phillip Lechuga. With that gracious donation, we were able to add the following books to our collection (see below). Special care was taken to find quality titles related to Downs Syndrome, as requested. A nameplate honoring Phillip was placed in each one. I apologize for the delay in getting this letter to you, but wanted to extend my gratitude to you and let you know how the donation was spent.

With Regards,
Kris Bell, Children's Librarian

1,2,3 For You And Me by Meg Girnis
Be Good to Eddie Lee by Virginia Fleming
I Can, Can You? by Marjorie W. Pitzer
Luke Has Downs Syndrome by Jillian Powell
My Friend Isabelle by Eliza Woloson
Our Brother has Downs Syndrome: an Introduction for Children by Shelley Cairo
We Can Do It! by Laura Dwight

I knew that there was a donation made by Phillips Therapists, I received a card notifying me about it and who did the donation; then I went in and let them know what types of books I would like. So they did a great job in doing this, I'm so pleased. Little Paul and Jordan have already checked out some of the books, and they were so thrilled to KNOW that his name was printed on them! I really appreciate these ladies who did the donation, they are all so very special for doing this.
So if you are interested, check'em out!

Isnt he just GORGEOUS!?!?!

(Isaiah and Vincent)

This is my #1 nephew Isaiah Gabriel Vera, he is 8yrs. old going on 20! He is my very first nephew, when he was born he was "MY baby", I spoiled him so much. I still cannot believe he is eight already, where does the time go?! Isaiah is a very smart and loving boy, he loves to read his bible, and when he was 5 he prayed to God to help him learn to read so he COULD read the bible; and so he did, and did very well at a young age of five! Isn't that just the cutest thing?! When Isaiah is older I know he is going to be a very excellent loving husband and father, he is such a sensitive and caring boy. He loves his mom, and takes care of her; he has a good heart. He really makes a personal relationship with people, he is so sensitive to peoples feelings, he really does care about how people FEEL; not a popular character of an average eight year old, huh? He always had a special place for Phillip when he was here; the other night in the car while driving home from shopping he was interested in asking me details about heaven and how he WILL see Phillip again (I was sharing about a book I have been reading called "90 minutes in heaven") Just so special! I think Isaiah will do a wonderful job in keeping Phillips memory alive for me and encouraging and reminding me that we will be together as a family one day in heaven!
Thanks Isaiah;)

My sister just sent this picture to show me his new haircut, he does NOT like it (she chose the hair-do this time), I think he looks so handsome! "Well Isaiah that's life when your eight, cant always decide for yourself;) I know your mommy loves you and wants you to look "clean-cut" like SHE likes:)"

I love you Isaiah!!!!

Just for fun!

Almost every day off my husband insists on us going somewhere as a family. He does not mind what we do, just something. His favorite place to go is for a walk on the beach, which is great for me since I want to lose this baby weight! Sometimes (most times) I'm lazy and thinking up excuses not to go, but I make myself, and I ALWAYS end up having a wonderful time! I'm just lazy:) I know what we end up doing is going to include some sort of work for me;)

Big Paul loves photography, and for Christmas "his" present to himself was a new camera; so he is having lots of fun taking pictures!

This outing was last Sunday after church, we went to Cambria, to a park that actually was only steps to the beach; so Lil.Paul got to play at the playground for a long time, then we walked on the beach until it got really cold. The walk was a really good work out for me, because there was no sand, but like little pebbles that seemed like quick sand!!!! GOOD for the butt!! Later we raced to a good photo opp. on the side of the road while Big Paul took pics. of the sunset and Lil. Paul snacked on leftover pizza! Later on the way home we pulled over at a cliff and I fed Preston and Paul took MORE pics.! VERY fun!

(Why is it more fun to go UP the slide rather then the stairs?)

(one of many pictures!)

(This is while on the side of the road (cliff), hes just to cute, Lil.Paul WANTED dad to film him though, so thats him asking!)

Jordan, Vincent, Isaiah and Lil.Paul

For thanksgiving we celebrated at my sisters Peachies house. It was a lot of fun eating and eating oh and did I say eating?!! The kids played hard, rarely ate of course, they would rather play! Lil.Paul and I made some head pieces with feathers for each of the kids, and we made him a little costume, he loved it! Each of the kids told my mom "there" version of the reason we celebrate the holiday!

My sister did a WONDERFUL job preparing for our family dinner, she made TWO turkeys which were so juicy, potatoes, lots of yummy pies, and all the other fixings! My sister Olivia made some really really yummy desserts, and I made sweet potatoes (yams).

I love holidays; but who doesn't?!! Enjoy our pics.

Presenting:

Well today is the day (night) I decided to FINALLY start my very own blog!!! Yes I'm so happy I accomplished this somewhat easy task! I'm saying this is not going to be a HIGH tech information/fancy place, but rather just whats on my mind. For over two years I have wanted to start something like this, sort of a journal of my day, but it took this long to do it?! So I hope I stick to it, and I hope anyone and everyone who reads this enjoys it;)
My first "real" post will soon come:)
